Our research group started its work in summer 2005. The long term interest of our group is to set up an ion trap to store single atoms in order to investigate highly non-classical properties of light using the atoms as single photon sources. Presently we are setting up our laboratory and we are planning to capture single ions soon. In the meanwhile we investigate these phenomena in theory.
